Ultimately, I still doubt there was any actual cheating. [/ QUOTE ] Depends whether or not you define cheating as folding KJs to a push from a guy with 5BBs left on your big blind, when the game is 3 handed and you have him covered 5 times. I appreciate the guy had an interest but it doesn't excuse playing differently than he normally should, that is definitely playing it soft. These sorts of arrangements should be outlawed if tournament poker is to have any credibility at all. Mack |

Re: They Showed It -- WPT Champ. KcJc
Yeah,
I was suprised too considering how absolutely horrid Tuan played. If I saw KJ suit against a guy who semibluffs all in with inside str8 draws, I'd definately be thinking I had the best of it. Didn't see this thread before I started blasting this guy in another one, but he has to be worse than that rich idiot that got runner runner JJ against the Master's QQ. I want to play, I want to play. X |

[/ QUOTE ] Thank you for putting it so clearly. I havnt seen the show, but that sentence paired with all the other table comments and the "softer" attitude you guys say Hasan was showing during the match point to softplaying. Although it seems Hasan was softplaying Tuan Lee, but Tuan was not softplaying Hasan. So I dont think there was any prior agreement and if there is anyone to blame its mainly Hasan. I just think its funny how being greedy blew up on him. He ended up busting third trying to get Tuan into 2nd, but if he had played normally he could have had a shot at first place for himself. |

I'm sure Tuan sees suckers like you all the time who think reading a Skalansky book makes you Johnny [censored] Chan. And I'm sure he'd love to have you at his table too, so go out to vegas and get him, you poker great you! lol. |

Re: They Showed It -- WPT Champ. KcJc
there is some legitimate justification for not calling in a tourney situation. i suppose hassan could say he does not feel like putting 20 percent of chips in for a best case 65 - 35 situation. but since tuan has only one move at this point i would assume he should know that he is going to be the favorite

Honestly, I think that when it came down to the 3 that were at the table, they saw it as them 2 and 1 "amateur". While hasan had a big chip stack he must have figured that Tuan was pushing with Ax. Also, he may have shown to get the amateur to think he was folding moderatly strong hands to an all in (the amateur was his SB) - and induce the amateur to bluff. Or something to that effect. I don't think they were doing anything intentionally dishonest. [/ QUOTE ] You're on crack. That was a total soft play. If it looks, sound and acts like a duck. It's a duck. |

Re: They Showed It -- WPT Champ. KcJc
[ QUOTE ]
Meanwhile, I have never really disliked a poker player, but I don't like Tuan. He got lucky plenty at Foxwoods, and he criticizes Paul saying he had "sucked out all week." I think he played far recklessly this episode but nontheless, his constant "jeez" comments get under my skin. What a tool. [/ QUOTE ] Tuan demonstrated a complete lack of class. He continually said things like "He [Paul] is a suck-out specialist," which was rather ironic given Le's previous performance at Foxwoods (Pot, I'd like you to meet Kettle....). Even if Maxfield did suck-out (and one time, he honestly deserved it, going all-in AK against the Razor's KJ, and only making his hand on the river), that's part of the game. To stand there like a baby and basically imply as loudly as you can without yelling, "This guy sucks-out a lot, and because of that, he doesn't deserve to win," is not only immature, but just plain asinine. |

Definitely the strangest episode of WPT I've seen. I thought Hassan was going to fellate them both when he busted out. Leave already, dude.
