The Great Southern Trendkill--Pantera.
This is a masterwork. There are moments of pure anger, absolute aggression, and blinding hatred, and it's all played about as well as these instruments can be played. I know many folks prefer the earlier Pantera, and I see their point, but for pure anger, it's Trendkill for me. I suppose an argument could be made for Black Flag's "Damaged." Try it--you'll like it. I suppose if I could choose one song, though, I think maybe it would be tough to beat Nine Inch Nails' "March of the Pigs." |
