It really comes down to what receiver you want, and what sports/talk you want.

XM has a couple of walkman/iPod size models, I don't believe Sirius does yet.

XM has Tony Kornheiser, Opie & Anthony, and MLB. Sirius has Stern and the NFL (they also will be getting NASCAR when XM's current deal end, I think it's next season).

The music and such are probably equivalent on either.

I personally LOVE my MyFi (XM walkman). I went XM specifically for the baseball, and I listen to it constantly. If you're a football nut, and would be in a position where you couldn't watch games on Sundays (because honestly, who would listen to games on the radio if oyu could watch them?) then Sirius is the way to go.

Sirius has the NFL, nothing else matters much for sports.

Hoo boy, football on the radio. I think only golf or NASCAR via radio would be more boring.

Baseball was made for radio. Get XM...

I've been trying to decide myself. XM has WAY cooler equipment...Sirius has better programming. Sirius is about to get NASCAR and the NFL.

I hear Sirius will unveil it's first truly portable device next month. Perhaps that will push me over the edge.

Delphi makes the MyFi, Pioneer has just come out with a similar, walkman/iPod sized XM receiver.

Walking around depends on where you are. Larger cities have a repeater on the ground (I can get perfect reception in Greektown in detroit, as an example, with no antenna at all but I can't get anything at my house without an antenna).

There are 3rd party stores that sell the car antenna modifed to plug directly into the MyFi, which gives much better walking around reception, too.

Just got a MyFi, and haven't cut it off. Awesome.
It's walkman device has a battery-life of app. 5 hrs. You can record, or listen live.
Live listening will require the use of an antenna that can be clipped onto whatever.
The car antenna comes with the MyFi. It works great.
I'm addicted already.

Howard stern sucks. Get xm radio. And if Stern sways your choice, XM radio has Opie and Anthony which blow stern out of the water
