Re: My girlfriend was drugged
Good to read your posts. I've never tried GHB nor do I know anyone who has. A few years ago, I read a book on it that made a convincing case for GHB being a victim of media and DEA hysteria. Certainly using the term "date rape" attracts attention and raises an audience's emotional involvement. I remember the book strongly stated that the health risks from GHB were exaggerated and that no one had ever died or suffered any severe health issue from an OD. The authors claimed that in the reports of death from GHB abuse there were other factors that were responsible. At one time, perhaps still, GHB was used medicinally in part of Europe. I want to say Germany, which has some of the strictest laws in the world regarding dietary supplements, but I am not sure. I don't remember which condition, perhaps a sleep disorder. Why do you dissuade personal use now? Is it solely due to the legal climate now or are there issues with GHB itself that you have since become aware of?

Re: My girlfriend was drugged
You should think about going to a local TV channel or newspaper with the story, especially since you have hard evidence. The negative publicity should be enough to shut down the bar and scare other bars to crack down on the riffraff that work/go there.

[/ QUOTE ] I'd start by approaching the owner of the bar with a copy of the hospital report. "Um, you have a problem you need to help us fix. Or we can get a reporter to help us fix it." Think a bar owner wouldn't go Joe Pesci on this guy to avoid negative publicity and a ruined business? |

[/ QUOTE ] why would the bar owner care? Its not like hes responsible for it. Also no news channell is going to give a rats ass unless you can prove its happened there more than once. Also, the vast majority of podunk small towns, dont have their own local news station, they just pick up the broadcasts of the bigger near by city...that bigger city couldnt give two [censored] about some podunk small town "a girl gets roofied at a bar" story...if the town is lucky, the weatherman at the big station spends 4 seconds telling them what their weather is going to be like on tuesday your best bet would be the local newspaper, but again, it wont matter cuz its prolly the only bar there, and its not going to keep people away, all its going to do is bring unwanted attention to OPs girlfriend. A life lesson was learned, chalk one up to experience, and move on |

Re: My girlfriend was drugged
If you can't get any reporters interested, is the bar near a college? If so, go to the school and find the ultra-left feminist club. Tell them what happened, call the place a potential rape factory, and set up a sit-in.
Rent some limos, bring as many chicks to the bar as you can on a Saturday night and start a non-violent protest. Have all the girls enter the bar, tell them not to buy any drinks and don't leave until the cops show up. Now you've created a news story and will get coverage. |

Re: My girlfriend was drugged
Guys who drug women and rape them should be drugged and left in the prison yard on the first day of their sentence.
