Does it matter if they're not gamers?

yes you can get both.

no you would not have to work off the first one before getting the 2nd one.
Just open an account and deposit now. and then deposit again on jan 5 with the reload code. and then work both of them off.

Are you telling me that if I open an account with the 20% bonus and then reload on the 5th and then play 1400 raked hands I'll clear both bonuses?

I thought I'd have to play 500 raked to clear the first, then another 1400 raked to clear the second

You'll have to play 1900 raked to clear all $300. You can't work the signup bonus and reload off at the same time. However, you can stack the bonuses.

I think you'll need to clear all 1900. My advice is to sign up immediately and get started on the 500, then sign up for the $200 reload bonus on the 9th so you have more time to clear it. (Rather than signing up for both at the same time - better to start the clock ticking as late as possible on your 14 days.)

edit: assuming that they count hands toward your 1st signup bonus before they count anything toward the reload.

I believe that is the case. I am in the same boat as you as I do not yet have an empire account. I was looking over the rakerebate site, and the only good affiliate with empire (25%) has server problems.

I also got a reload offer on 1/2/05 %15 to $100. 15 days to clear 7x raked hands. looks like $300 free.

yes....you have to play all 1900.
but you do NOT have to play the first 500 hands before making the reload deposit.

You can deposit twice and then play it all off......but if you play off the 500 hands first before making the reload deposit that will be fine too.

Just pointing out that you do NOT have to clear the first bonus before DEPOSITING for the reload bonus.

In fact, you can deposit, not play a single-hand, cash-out the full amount, get it back the next day (probably) and then re-deposit with the same money to get the 2nd bonus.
And then start grinding-away your 1900 raked-hands.
