The thrill of winning a big pot.
The satisfaction in playing well. The challenge of trying to play a very complicated game. Pokers is a game that you can spend a lifetime trying to master. |

For sure the competitive nature thing. I've tried all kinds of competitive things but this is the first one where I make money instead of spend it.
My wife is very impressed with that aspect. I just paid for a 7 day cruise in a suite w/ poker winnings. Yeah, my wife is definately happy. |

Yeah, my wife is definately happy. [/ QUOTE ] Does she also get laid more often because you play poker? If so, then she's definitely happy - your poker hobby would be way +EV. -DB |

I play poker because it is both fun and challenging, and my reward is cold hard cash!
I have been playing for several months now, just starting to get the hang of small stakes games. Just moved up to $1/$2 today as a matter of fact. |

Because ti si a mental game, where u can both profit and have fun. The mental aspect mixed with the luck aspect, does not let u win all the time, thus making it harder to master, and an ever challenge. That is the main, there is nver enough to be learned. From table to table, principally, when things do not go well, u have to rethink about your game, adequate your play to the tables and so on.
