vex, Incorrect ones aren't, and you are clearly in the wrong here. He was obviously NOT trying to rip someone off since he is refuding the money. I'll bet the buyer is a lot more careful from here on out, and much better off for it. TRON [/ QUOTE ] 1. This guy is a douche. 2. It is NOT obvious that he wasn't trying to rip them off just because he is refunding the money. He might have had every intention of ripping someone off before a) changing his mind, or b) realizing EBay wouldn't allow the sale. 3. People should read the product description more carefully, and this woman should be happy she is getting her money back without much hassle. 4. This guy is a douche. |

This guy should make a deal with the mother. To get the money back she has to send a signed hand written apology to him. The apology should be required to spell out the entire story.
He should then sell the apology over ebay. That would be classic. |

I've sold pool cues and accessories on eBay in past years. The average ebay customer is a complete moron.

He was obviously NOT trying to rip someone off since he is refuding the money. [/ QUOTE ] Selling a box on eBay with a reserve of over $500 isn't trying to rip someone off? He knew what he was doing and was just being a turd in general...the fact that he came to his senses afterwards and realized he's a turd just goes to show it. |

I don't think its fair to jump to conclusions about the guy who ran the auction. It appears to me that he set this all up as some sort of experiement. He has the screenshots and e mails. For all we know this could have been a project or study for some sort of Economics class or other such [censored].

I'll be the voice of dissent and say I applaud guys like this. Profiting off of ignorance is the American way. We have no problem doing it in certain, shall-remain-nameless games. Caveat emptor.
