Re: Will the dumb people on this site please leave
[ QUOTE ]
Okay, so last night I reread Sharphooter's book Get the Edge at Craps. He says that he has recorded tens of thousands of rolls and that his results put him over three standard deviations to the right of the mean. He also has slow motion videos of his throw that demonstrate that he has controlled the throw so that the dice are doing the exact same thing in the air. Now, unless he's just outright lying, I would say that this should count as somewhat susbstantial evidence. [/ QUOTE ] Questions to seriously consider, 1) How do you know what table he did this at? Does he say? 2) Why, (if it works so well at any casino TODAY I'm assuming) would he tell anyone about it? 3) But he has, so given that, what are the chances the casinos have NEVER heard of this book before? 4) As well, what are the chances the casinos have not only understood what that book is saying but to realize this method of throwing dice has been around for like 50 years? If not, since I will never read that book, that maybe some dumb ass actually came up with a different way to throw dice (going back to question #1) to work on the tables today? 5) Going back to question #3, what are the chances that the casions do understand from that book/video wether or not it will be a concern for them based on the table construction now? If there is any source for any gambling book ever published in the world, guess who is going to have them ALL? You guessed it, the casinos will have every book (probably before you can even get them) in the world on gambling. What about the games themselves and who have beat them? Hate to break the news to you but the casinos have hired professional math wizards and the guys who did beat them at there own game to undertand how YOU will never beat them again fair and square. If you consider all of this which is a given, then questions 1-5 plus my statements means your a CHUMP. |

Re: Will the dumb people on this site please leave
This will be my last post on this since this is like arguing about religion.
Do whatever you want since your going to anyhow and learn the hardway. There isn't anything wrong with learning the hardway just as long as you learn from it. Good luck and don't be a chump. |

Yes will the dump people please leave including you, who started this gem in Mid-Hi forum
[ QUOTE ] I have watched the 100/200 at Stars on and off and it seems like there are fish. I understand there are fish at every level but it seems no tougher to beat than a 10/20 game. What do you guys think? [/ QUOTE ] |

Hate to break the news to you, but any math wizards working for a casino are likely to be in the accounting department. |

Why don't you go ask Mike Caro what he thinks about beating the game of craps?
See ya |

[ QUOTE ] (clue) the last beatable craps situation I heard about was in Canadian casinos. [/ QUOTE ] The first time I was in a beatable craps game was in the late 70's or early 80's in Reno. The Cal-Neva ran a promotion where they were giving 1:1 exchange for Canadian $ -- we circulated over 2MM playing craps. We just played table max every roll on the field, and the pit loved us. We had a runner going between Canada and Reno exchanging money, and at that time a Canadian $ only cost us 92c. It wasn't the last time though. [/ QUOTE ] This is awesome. The craps was cover-play for just buying chips at the cage at the 1:1 exchange rate? |

There was a lot of action -- they were changing drop boxes mid-shift when they couldn't get the paddles down. There was a team of us, and we were playing cards as well. We just did a lot of hit and run, always with cash, and the Player would simply play the field while waiting for a shoe. |
