8 table is maximum? There are people who do 12 or 16. You can play 2 skins at the same time.

The Dude was running 12 at 3/6...

Each person has a point where they reach maximum efficiency, in terms of $/hr. While a player who might not be playing as well at 4 tables as he would at 2 tables, he is willing to sacrifice the slightly better play for more actual money earned.

I'm pretty maxed at about 4 tables. I tried 3 absolute and 2 crypto (don't ask about the combo), and I was getting timed out left and right cuz I was trying to get reads/watch high action (sometimes it's because I usually only play 4 tables on one monitor, so the tables on my 2nd monitor kept getting ignored) -- I might be able to squeeze in more in the future, but I'm not good enough yet (6max).

I'm making 3.17 bb/100 playing .50 1 limit on stars after 5 k hands. Should I be ok to move up to 1-2 with 300 big bets as a bankroll? I know this post probably lacks info so feel free to ask other question in order to answer. Thanks a lot.

Well I attempted to move up and it went really badly. I lost 85 bb in around 2000 hands. I suffered some real ugly beats early and I think it may have caused me to play poorly. I've moved back down to .50 1 and am making 4 bb/100 there. Kinda frustrating that I couldn't even stay even at 1-2.

That's why you have to have the bankroll to support you when you are attempting to move limits.

That was for 6-max table right? I had to be really concentrated with 4 6-max tables, but for full rings, I can do a lot of other stuff while 4-tabling. I am pretty sure most of us should be able to do at least 8 table full ring.

There's no shame in dropping back down. I've dropped back from .10/.20 back to .05/.10 and from 2/4 (after losing 100BB) back to 1/2 (losing another 50BB) back to .50/1.00 to regain confidence. My stats are way better this time around and I don't think I'll ever need to drop below 2/4 again.

It's a good sign that you are willing to drop down.
