it was the grandfather. Pops is still alive and hanging with me in drinking contests.
It was never pinned on a hitchhiker specifically, he lives a long way out of town and travelled back and forth regularly. The police report ends assuming a hitchhicker was the culprit, but there were a couple of opportunities. Nonetheless, I stick by the "nubile" requirement
