For me its because you have hurrendous position, worst on the table, and although he maybe aggressive you're not in a position to isolate.

so if you had the button, or were somehow sure everyone behind you would fold, do you pop it?

I will three bet there everyday and twice on Sunday. Moreover, if I'm in a live game I bet the flop dark.

Consequently, I get a walk through more tahn a lot of other players do when they know a steal could be a fold, or could be a three bet.

You feeling lucky punk? Go ahead, I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU to raise my blind again.

Oh, and yes I am serious.

Position, schmosition. Calling there is so weak its pathetic. And what does position do for you facing a three bet preflop and a flop bet. BTW, I auto bet the flop if I flop a set, overpair or three overcards hit. I'm betting , he doesn't know I have 77.

[/ QUOTE ]

Can I just stop you there ? You're talking about a different hand. Nice speech though.

what would the SS forum do without Bunky?

[/ QUOTE ]

Awwww. Shucks. Now you just made my buddy list, for what thats worth. Thanks for the compliment (I think)

Actually, I thought that play was pretty standard. (For Bunky its standard)

Sorry I don't post here as much anymore. I've been making hella bucks at NL with about 1/4 the variance. I'll have to keep tabs on this. Shoot me a PM if you need my opinion on any posts here. This joint fills up fast so its hard for me to keep up.

Yeah, there I go off ranting again.

The blinds are a spot where I will let you take a coule and lull you into thinking you can take them then BANG!

Out comes the monster.

Sorry to go off on the mini tangent but I felt it did pertain to that particular hand very well.

1) 88 after 2 folds.

[/ QUOTE ]

Raise

[ QUOTE ]

2) Fairly aggressive UTG raises, you hold 99 UTG+1.

[/ QUOTE ]

3-bet

[ QUOTE ]

3) It is folded to you on the button, you hold K8o. BB is extremely tricky and defends his blind religiously, SB is tight.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't like this one. Fold.

[ QUOTE ]

4) 44 UTG.

[/ QUOTE ]

You said laggish, so fold. If not so laggish, limp and play for set value.

[ QUOTE ]

5) KTs UTG.

[/ QUOTE ]

Same as (4) WRT action.

[ QUOTE ]

6) Tight UTG raise, 1 cold call from a fish, you hold KQs on the button.

a) Both blinds are loose. b) Both blinds are tight.

[/ QUOTE ]

a) Call
b) Fold

[ QUOTE ]

7) 77 in your BB after an extremely aggressive button open raises and SB folds.

[/ QUOTE ]

3-bet

[ QUOTE ]

8) 22 in MP after 4 folds.

[/ QUOTE ]

Fold

[ QUOTE ]

9) Tight UTG raise, 2 calls from LAGs, you hold deuces on the button.

[/ QUOTE ]

How is it that 2 consecutive LAGs are calling here??? I smell a rat...in fact, my hand smells worse than a rat.
