Attempting...

2.5 is your call down flop, turn & river

The pot is at 2.5 BB on the flop and he's going to be putting 2 more in it on top of the flop bet he just made..which would make it...I can't find the 4.25...

[/ QUOTE ]

Coming into the flop, the pot is 2.25 BB's. He's going to put in another 2.5BB's, so are you. So you're getting 4.75:2.25.

[ QUOTE ]
and why do we add the 2.5 on.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's just how you convert between the two notations. 2:1 converts to 1/3, 4:3 converts to 3/7.

edit: I screwed it up the first time around.

I got it...thanks for being patient with me. I had 2.5 BB at the flop and it was 2.25..

I've not done this sort of HU figuring before. We certianly have good enough equity for at least a call down.

Yea, I had never thought of it this way before. That post by Ed really helped my game.

Default ...with two overcards?

[ QUOTE ]

Cool. If the flop was K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], does it change hero's line at all?

My gut feeling was chuck it, and it looks like pokerstove agrees with me:
