The problem with both Cleveland and Atlanta is that their Baseball teams have recist and offensive names and mascots. Now that the country is more educated, the populations of both cities realize they don't want to spend money supporting racism and hatred towards Native Americans.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ummmmm, regardless of one's opinion on Indian mascots, this is a pretty ridiculous assumption.

Lots of empty seats for game 2, Clemens vs. Smoltz. Yikes!

Worst. Fans. Ever.

[/ QUOTE ]

Don't worry. I'm not going to defend them. However, GT fans are worse. It makes me really damn sad that they just eith don't seem to understand how to cheer for a team, or are just too apathetic to actually do it.

Meh, whatever. And [censored] you Travis Bell.

I believe this goes in the "stupidest thing you ever heard" thread on OOT.

You never hear what the average Indian has to say about it. All you hear is the official tribe statement. Guess what? The tribe leaders all got paid off and they don't distribute the money to the rest of the tribe. Just like with Indian gaming, all of it goes to the Chief, his family, a few cronies, and the MOB. Wake up.

[/ QUOTE ]

Thats the way their government is set up. The tribes wanted to be separate from the US so they run their own thing. Also are you Indian to be talking all this smack?

[ QUOTE ]
There was a kid in my town who was Creek Indian which is part of the Seminole tribe. Guess what his favorite team was? That's right, the Miami Hurricanes, because they beat Florida State and its racist program every year. He liked Nebraska too, because he thought the wishbone was fun to watch.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well two problems here.

First kids love winners, when was the last time a kid said, man the niners suck this year, but im sticking with them cause we drafted well this year, NEVER. Kids always go for winning teams, because they are kids they dont know any better, also the hurricanes were a damn good team and still are, not shocking a kid likes them.

Second problem, its just one kid who happens to be Indian, what do kids know about life really? How would he know how the majority of Indians feel, most adults wont talk about serious stuff with kids, he wouldnt know much.

Geez people can be too damn politically correct sometimes, if the Indians dont care why should people who have nothing to do with them care?

Why the hate? There are plenty of good Braves fans. The stadium isn't the only place to enjoy a game.

I thought he was completely joking, and I started to chuckle a little. But unfortunatley it seems that he is completely serious.
