Re: If you had your own custom CLAY chip set...
Thanks, I stole the pic from another thread
So many different versions - Very strange: Note the $1 chip edge spots, the $5 spots are reversed, and the bottom chips have a different mold! [ QUOTE ] My $1000 chips are from the gambler's pleasure set. [/ QUOTE ] Another of my favorites... J5 |

Re: If you had your own custom CLAY chip set...
Um... and are half the nails in the box pointing the wrong way?
I mean, the edge spots are reversed until you turn the chip over... or are you saying something else? |

Sorry, that was useless!
Unless you flip the chip horizontally AND vertically... J |

I'm prolly gonna be interested as long as it ain't TR King. [/ QUOTE ] Well I would have said if the edge spots are going to all be different, then they would probably be T.R. King. Except Ten plans on doing scalloped inlays, so that negates T.R. King...perhaps he is working some deal with Matsui...?? I'm very intrigued to see how this goes, based on those Egyptian beauts... |

Re: If you had your own custom CLAY chip set...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the choices seem limited to:
1) TR King. Good flexibility, good chips that I just don't like 2) Blue Chip. Limited selection, but multicolored edge spots with poor quality control, too light and reportedly bad customer service 3) ASM. Good, breakable chips with virtually no flexibility over edgespots, but otherwise look and feel good 4) PaulSon. Gold standard, no flexibility over colors/edgespots, and really mismatched molding/inlay, requiring special order sizes measured in metric butt tons. I'm really interested in seeing how this'll come out. My vote would be for the Paul-Sons, even though there are clear problems with their current batch of consumer chips, but I have grave doubts as to whether we could get commitments for a MBT of chips. |

Re: If you had your own custom CLAY chip set...
I'm hoping beyond hope that a large enough group buy can be assembled to get actual TH&C chips and not the "PAULSON CHIPS" mold. I also believe in Santa Claus.

Re: If you had your own custom CLAY chip set...
how many would we have to order to do the THC mold? the egyptian buy seemed pretty big; how big, i've often wondered? i guess that we can find that out exactly, right ten/mspatton?
