Rock papers scissors is a game of psychology and pattern recognition. Understand what your opponents usually throw as their opening move. Most people will start with rock, then do scissors, then do paper or have some sort of easily recognizable pattern. Exploit this.

I played a lot about a month ago. Paper was rarely thrown first. Obviously this means rock is best.
