Do they have a first deposit bonus? I don't see it on their sight? I've never played there before. Thanks.

there is first deposit bonus on Stars. So just take advantage of the reload bonus now.

You can leave it in there forever and it won't expire. So just deposit now....cash-out after 48-hours if you want....and get around to clearing it whenever you feel like it.

I think some people participating in the .25/.50 conversation are kind of alternating between limit and NL.
The original question was on NL .25/.50.
It won't clear very fast...but it is clear-able.

On limit .25/.50 you probably won't be able to clear it at all.

The 2/4 and 3/6 limit full-ring games at stars are pretty tight typically...especially during bonus-clearing stretches.
The 2/4 and 3/6 6-max tables are still reasonable for clearing these imo. Goes reasonably fast and there are enough sucky players to keep me happy.

I've also cleared them at .5/1 NL and 1/2 NL. It's usually just a bunch of bonus-clearers trying to play as tight as possible for their 600 points. So it doesn't go very fast.....but it might be a better option than the 2/4 limit which is slow for clearing AND annoying.

Also - it's not JUST raked-hands. You also get points for SNG's and MTT's there. So if you want to just play the occasional tourney there you will slowly-but-surely be clearing the bonus.

This is very important. You get 5 FPPs for every $1 you pay in tourney fees. If you play a $5+50¢ SNG, you get 3 FPPs.

I play small NL $1/4 & 1/2 or $1/2 & $1. BonusWhores is not helpful on how this bonus will clear and I don't frequent Stars. Could someone translate a $120 bonus into required hands played at .25/.50 NL?

[/ QUOTE ]
bonuswhores says $4.20 per hour*table at full ring 25c/50c NL. since each FPP is worth 20 cents in bonus, you can estimate that about 21 hands out of 60 dealt per hour will have a pot size of at least $20 (which I believe is the minimum threshold for all NL/PL games).

since you need 600 FPP's to clear $120 in bonus, then I'd guess you need to play about 1700-1800 dealt hands to clear at the limits indicated.

[/ QUOTE ]

Playing this many hands to clear a $120 bonus makes the bonus unplayable in my opinion. It's not worth the effort for $120. It's tough enough and a big drain to play 1400 hands to clear the $200 Party bonus, so I'm going to take a pass on this one.

Besides that I've never played at Stars and all of my friends tell me the games are horrible.

Yeah, I thought last week's posts about "next Thursday" were a joke. I'll have to withdraw some money from Party to make this happen.
