haha you beat me to it.

i really dont agree with taking mussina out here. unless they are doing because of elbow strength considerations. i certainly think torre should pull out all the stops to win this game, but i'm just not sure if small is going to be more effective. moose was dealing.

I don't agree with the move either. He was at 98 pitches, but Torre shouldn't be thinking about game 5 at least until game 1 is complete.

well the more i think about it the more sense i can see. joe wasnt doing it for game 5, he was doing because moose is coming off an injury and has been questionable. when you come off injury one of the things is you don't have as much arm strength and cant throw as much. its a "read dependent" situation. so i dont necessarily agree with it, but theres a decent reason for it and we dont know the circumstances.

the thing i was really worried about was moose coming out having pitched great and then small/leiter coming in and being bad.
