I am all for space exploration and I am all for manned space flight. But, I would have vastly preferred to see Nasa fund projects designed to get humans and materials into space cheaply and safely rather than the bloated monstrosity that is the shuttle. I would love to go into space, but I don't trust the shuttle. Over a year down time and God knows how many million dollars, and they still can't keep the damn foam insulation from falling off of the fuel tank. NASA has fallen far since the moon landing.
