To no one in particular:

I echo "disappointing." Except for marginal entertainment value, what is to be gained by further arguing who said what and who owes who an apology?

Considering the caliber of some of the posters in this thread, an appropriate penance might be to make a few posts in the small stakes or micro forum.

even if lee's statements were completely false, the reaction by S&M was silly, childish and unnecessary.

It's what they do.

Mason and David have always been sticklers for detail, and they're not shy about loudly correcting others.

They make sure they get it right, and aren't forgiving when others don't get it right. But they aren't mean about it. It's not personal, just business.

Nothing said in this thread was out of their normal pattern of behavior.

Hi Bob:

When Lee Jones posted a couple of years ago that I only gave good reviews to Two Plus Two Publications and only gave terrible reviews to non-Two Plus Two Publications, he got a similar reaction from me. Was that also childish?

Best wishes,
Mason

Hi LozColbert:

You're a00 percent accurate. And because we're this way, our readers get steered towards good material and away from the bad.

Best wishes,
Mason

probably. although i didn't see exactly what he said when he said this.

however, i don't see how that makes a difference.

are you saying you reacted this way in this thread because of something lee said 2 years ago (seems unlikely since i don't think this was brought up until now)?
or is it something he has said now?
either way i don't see how that justifies it.

if i act like a whiny little jerk at a tournament then i have behaved badly.
just because phil hellmuth also behaved like a whiny little jerk at the same tournament does not mean i still wasn't behaving badly.

well there's two problems here. 1st one is I intentionally avoid threads with a lot of red names in it. 2nd thing is I only search for my name once a day or so.

[ QUOTE ]
For example, say we walked to a football field. I said, "I think there are no more than one million blades of grass in this field." You said, "Fiddlesticks, there are easily one million blades of grass in this field, probably many more." We have both made statements of FACT, not opinion. If one so desired, he could count every blade of grass and come to a conclusion about who is correct.

[/ QUOTE ]

No, Ed. You have both expressed opinions about a question of fact. The fact being the total number of blades of grass. You are mistaking an opinion about a fact for the fact itself.
