Re: A Pokerbot has finally arrived.
Whats going to happen when someone limps in utg with AA, gets about 4 callers with 2 of those people holding a king, and the bot mucks kk on the button? Your right no online poker site would pick that up, I downloading now.

Re: A Pokerbot has finally arrived.
Okay, so now we have a good answer. The solo version is a bot. The team version is a cheater.
And it STILL has to access the internet. So the answer to the original question is: No, we don't have a version that doesn't connect to the internet. [ QUOTE ] X, Good question, glad you asked. We have a Solo (non-sharing) version and a Team (sharing) version planned. The Solo will verify its license with the License Server upon launch then there will be no more connections made. In fact the Solo won't have the capability to connect to another WinHoldEm user. The Team version will have all the capability of the currently available download. The customer will choose the version of their choice. Hope this helps. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: A Pokerbot has finally arrived.
Bluff1,
WinHoldem is fully programmable by the user. check the formula dialog page on the website. If you dont want to fold AA or KK or any other hand preflop, enter the hands of your choice into the call/rais list of the hand dialog. the hand dialog page on the website explains this very well. good luck! |

Re: A Pokerbot has finally arrived.
Jedi,
the only connection to the internet the solo version makes is at launch when the license server determines if your client license is valid. after that the solo will not connect. |

Re: A Pokerbot has finally arrived.
Win,
I was under the impression that your bot played perfect pot odds, so it would then fold the kk preflop. |

Re: A Pokerbot has finally arrived.
I was assuming the bot doesn't know what your opponents are holding. Like when ppl from the forums have been testing it and it folds AA pre.

Re: A Pokerbot has finally arrived.
I'm sure there are other licensing means you can use that don't rely on an internect connection. Especially now when it is just a beta release anyway.

Re: A Pokerbot has finally arrived.
I repeat. They don't have a version that doesn't connect to the internet.
And answer Pudley's question. [ QUOTE ] Jedi, the only connection to the internet the solo version makes is at launch when the license server determines if your client license is valid. after that the solo will not connect. [/ QUOTE ] The original question: [ QUOTE ] another question, given all the controversy from your target demographic, why not just release a version that has no internet connection at all? Then you would alleviate every ones concerns and anger. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: A Pokerbot has finally arrived.
X,
It is impossible for WinHoldem to know what its opponents cards are. It will only know what its team member cards are if, and only if, the team members decide to share their own card info with other team members. The website gives instruction on how do do this. |
