Yeah they did. It was awesome. Nothing big, just hugs and stuff. They should have prepared a big division champs dance routine.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's just a division title. If they had over-celebrated, it would have looked weak.

[/ QUOTE ]

especially since if the red sox win today they COULD demand a one game playoff

ok, so let me get this right. they 'clinched' yesterday because the two teams agreed a one game playoff to determine the actual team with a better win % would be a waste of time and the yankees should have celebrated on the field?

btw, if the sox get in the playoffs i am going to LMAO if the yanks and red sox play in the LCS after all these people saying both teams are dead when they get there. me and the idiots it the slight southwest can celebrate that once again the NYY/BOS rivalry will dominate the post season.

MWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAA

Uh, it was a joke. The Yanks had a dignified and humble celebration to mark a successful end to a tumultuous regular season. It was all very appropriate.

tumultuous? The only way you can use that word to describe a 95 win team with a 200m payroll is if thier plane crashes

If you were an A's fan, this would be an appropriate comeback. As it is with your team spending significantly more than any non-Yankee team, it's just ridiculous.
