Is there any way to change the currency I'm using on TotalBet to USD? I never picked GBP as my currency and it's an annoyance.

Unlike William Hill, when I signed up for TotalBet I also was not able to choose dollars - so I am using pounds. I still play the dollar games, and there doesn't seem to be a problem.

Does anybody know if these hourly bonuses at William Hill/Total Bet are actually paid out hourly or if its a lump sum after you play 5 hours?

Total bet pays it hourly and you get a separate email after every hour. You need to close the client to have it paid to you. WH does the same I believe but I don't get any emails.

I have the same issue -- it seems like you must maintain your account in pounds. This isn't too much of a hassle if you remember to note the the number of pounds equal to your buy-in at a dollar table so you can do the math. The only other thing that occurs to me is that there will likely be some gain or loss due to the change in the dollar/pound exchange rate from when you deposit to when you withdraw.

Not much hassle, but TotalBet does charge 1 GBP on cashout to Neteller as opposed to $1 US at the other sites.
