Re: Bay Area 2+2 invite game?

So would anyone mind playing with a 17 year old? [/ QUOTE ] That would be wrong Chris -- even if you could bring a couple of cheerleaders with you. Hell, I'm thinking about going. Should we send a limo for Ulysses, or do we want to spring for a helicopter ride to get him there a few hands sooner? |

Sounds like fun. Family and work committments make it challenging to schedule a major evening out, but I'd enjoy playing if possible.

Re: Bay Area 2+2 invite game?
Did you notice that there were hardly any responses till I said I might play, then there were like 3000 posts? I guess I AM the live one.
Although the best sign that you're the live one occured in the Garden City 20 limit lowball game. This game literally had the same dudes playing in it, and the median age had to be 70. One day, a guy died, and the board wrote "XXX R.I.P." The game broke up shortly thereafter, and only goes sporadically. No kidding. |

Your story is better. |

Bring it on! I'll scrape together a $100-$200 bankroll from bad beetz's foolish side bets. As an added bonus he'll come pre-tilted.

I will bring lots of scotch if Ulysses brings lots of money. As for games, my vote is for pot-limit dealer's choice or anything that's not limit hold'em.

Re: Bay Area 2+2 invite game?
Hello everyone,
Interest for this game is definitely high. I have the following people who have said they would like to play or have at least expressed interest (questionable ones end with ?): Garland samh (received PM) karlson (received PM) haakee (received PM) Fianchetto (received PM) bisonbison (received PM) TJSWAN (received PM) Dan S thirddan DiamondDave bisonbison AJ Sucker (?) WillMagic Ulysses (?) yenforyen Analyst The Gift of Gab webiggy (? - Will be moving some time next month) Dan S and haakee have graciously offered their places to host. Dan S lives in the Oakland Hills and haakee lives in San Jose. I still would like everyone's PM (Private Message) with the following details so I can put this together as quickly as possible: 1. Best night?: Friday or Saturday 2. Can you you host?: Yes or No 3. Age limit?: 18+ or 21+? 18+ would probably mean no alcohol 4. Stakes?: 1/2 Toothpick or 2/4 Toothpick? 5. Game?: Dealer's choice, Limit Hold Em, No Limit Hold em other? 6. What city do you live in? (very important since we have two hosts who are in very different locations) Once I have all the details, I'll put together a proposal about place, potential dates, stakes, rules, etc. Someone mentioned that it took 2 months to organize the last home game. I'm hoping it doesn't have to be that long. Garland |
