Re: Legitimate Games?
Online isn't rigged by the casino, it just SUCKS.
Play in a real casino if its at all possible. Its more fun, and the games are easier at every limit. Even if you think you are a "pro", you will make much more money in a real casino. |

Re: Legitimate Games?
Mason has written that 300 big bets losing streaks are probable, even for winning players. I've suffered a couple of 200bb losing streaks this year, and three or four more 100bb down falls. Every single time, my streaks are dominated by crushing losses on the river.
In my last 100bb slide, in five hands, I lost to a 2-outer, a gutshot, and another 2-outer. Losing on the river is part of being a winning player. I now accept that I will lose to a 2-outer, a 3-outer, and numerous gutshots, every single night that I play. It is part of being a winning player. Play within your bankroll, which means have 300-400 big bets at the limit you play, and ride out this losing streak. After you suffer a handful of them, you will hopefully focus on your game, not the results. Let this losing streak motivate you to take a fresh look at your game and improve. Make sure that you are always playing your best. Make sure you are maximizing your wins and minimizing your losses. Everyone has leaks. Try to find a couple and correct them. Fixing a leak or two will make you more money than alleging that online poker is fixed against you. (As an aside, I was playing in Tunica this weekend, and in my first hour, I lost to a gutshot, a 3-outer, and in my last hand before breaking for dinner, my AJ lost to A9s when the board fell JT299. But, when I finished my 6 hour session, I was up 1.5bb per hour.) |
