when you take a shot like that you're essentially giving it away anyways... these people are not thinking about solid play and winning money, they just want some lottery type scenario

He flopped a double gutter. He had 98 and the flop was J75. So the T hit a gutshot, but a 6 would have, too.

It is, or at least was, very juicy.

I guess a better way to phrase my question would have been "Is it insane to take a shot in such an aggressive, short handed game".
