I would never order anything anywhere called "xxx soup". Just sounds iffy.

I ate about two sponnfulls of it and made a horrible face that the waiter happened to catch. He came over and said it didn't look like I was enjoying it and offered to replace it, so I got a bowl of New England clam chowder that was very good.

Most of the seafood I had when I visited Hilton Head was dissapointing. I did catch some crabs myself and make an awesome Pasta sauce with them.

For shrimp soup I think you went with the wrong cuisine. Try a good thai joint and get Tom Yum w/ Shrimp. No watery tasting broth if lemongrass and kaffir lime is involved. This picture is pretty good but I can't vouch for the recipe.

Above looks real good but if you are an LA poker player try this dish at Hawaiian Gardens Casino. Two weeks ago I scored thirteen decent sized shrimp. Sort of filled me up since I also had a Thai chicken dish [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
