I contacted full tilt support. Here is a copy of what they wrote me back:

Hello Justin,

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately, We do not provide protection on any of our games in
instances where the connection fails on the side of the user. We're
sorry for the connection problems you are having on your end. We are
quite certain, that other players cannot utilize software that can
freeze up your computer via your IP address. While I cannot give you an
accurate diagnosis as to the issues you have experienced, i can
certainly offer you some things that you can check on your end to see if
this helps to clear your connectivity issues.

First, make sure you have updated ALL of your system drivers. Run
Windows Update from your Start Menu or the Tools dropdown of Internet
Explorer. You can also head to:

http://www.windowsupdate.com/

Download and install ALL critical updates to the Windows operating
system. Make sure you have updated the DirectX on your system to the
latest version:

Also, if you do play via a wireless connection, this can also be a
factor in your connection issues. I would recommend doing the updated
as outlined above, and connecting directly to a wired connection if you
do not do so already.

These steps should fix your problem as well as improve the general state
of your computer. Please let us know if you need anything else, and we
wish you the best of luck on the tables!

If there's anything we can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask.
Best of luck on the tables!

Regards,

Neel
Team Full Tilt

Also, I did a spysweep on my laptop and found 4 spywares and a bunch of adware traces. I wonder if someone had uploaded a trojan onto my puter as I have not had this problem AT ALL today since I followed the instructions of the email and did the spysweep.

peace all
-J
