Wikipedia is one of the first tabs I open at work, along with 2p2. As mason55 has mentioned, I just noodle around in it following threads I like, then go 'random article' when I run out of steam.

I have seen quick editing happen there. I was reading about voice over IP one night, and the article had crap in there about 'digital phone sex' and some other random not-quite-obscene stuff. I was all, "wtf?". Minutes later, the article had been put back to its original form. This was like 3AM Pacific time, too. I was impressed.

Getting into an edit war is a lot of fun. We should pick an article and go at it.

We should start a "How many five year olds?" article.

I love to go on Wikipedia and make preposterous edits and then check back in a few days to see if they have been eliminated.

I've used Wikipedia a ton for reports and the like.

Either my teachers are extremely dumb or the info is usually accurate, cause I've never run into any trouble with it.

The first thing that pops up in my mind is an "encyclopedia" that has articles on the faked Holocaust and moon landings, along with the worst OOT "debates" and logic.

[/ QUOTE ]

As in the moon landing being fake or real?

Either this thread needs to be moved to politics or the liberal bias arguments/counterarguments need to be deleted.

I guess I'll have to delve into this site more deeply. For those of you more experienced with it, what say ye?

[/ QUOTE ]

proabably the greatest site ever. on any given topic it usually contains more/better information than a site specifically created for that topic.
