1 - QQ/JJ, probably QQ
2 - Ax[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], JT/QT/QJ/maybe KT [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] all look possible here, as does 77 3 - no idea, if villian is a "standard non-idiot", then the only hand where the 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] could have helped him is 66, or an over-aggressively played Ax [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] |

Nice post to have made by the way. It is good to have hand reading exercises to do. It is something that is not done enough by decent but inexperienced players at the table, but is vital in saving or winning those extra bets.

[/ QUOTE ] The reason that I posted these hands was to make a point on how easy it is to play a hand when you know which cards your opponent is holding. This is especially important to newbies like me to constantly think about your opponents hand as much as your own. |

Hand 1: He's got "2nd pair", meaning TT, JJ, or QQ.
There is no way to know which of the three he has so I'll just say....QQ. Hand 2: Somehow I don't think he has the flush. This is .1/.2, so I'll say he's a TPTK nut, and holds AT. Hand 3: Hmmm, I'll say ThXh. Strange flop check then lead out on the turn... makes me think he has 2nd pair on the flop maybe and then bet out on the turn with his added flush draw? |
