Lol. First of all, average tourney won't last 5hrs, so you'd make more than $100 anyway. 2nd, you're forgetting about multitabling.
"Why would you deal with all the variance etc. when it seems you could make the same in cash games with less stress?" Some people just don't care about variance. If you're cashed up and only care about yearly results, then why not??

I hardly think you're looking for an answer, but all I can say is 12k net earnings for October with near zero risk and a trip to the bahamas. Screw cash games [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
In reality, I don't think i'll be a winning cash game player right now and I'm not enjoying 'em either. The money is good in every form of poker, if you're good. I'm on my way to becoming good in MTT's, i'm no where near good in cash games. Here's why.

They're fun. That's it.
I'm a far better SNG player than MTT player, but I have a day job, so I just do what's most fun. MTTs are so much more dramatic and exciting for me. So that's what I play nowadays. I only play SNGs if my roll gets low, or if I only have 45 mins to play.
