Yeah, I hate this reasoning too.

In an interview about a final hand at one of the WSOP tournaments, Mike Matusow was talking about someone sucking out on him, and the interviewer said "actually, his draw had about even odds of beating your hand" and Mike goes "yeah, but would you rather put your money in with a draw or a made hand".

Duh, it doesn't mean [censored] if the percentages are the same.
