I was just told by a friend what the greatest final four ever was. He says it happened in the mid-1990s at the main event of the Four Queens tournament.

Does anyone have a link to this tournament? What year was it exactly?

It wasn't the basis for his arguement, it was a part of the comparison. Ivey has no main event wins, but he has 5 bracelets in other events.

According to a reporter that extensively covered the WSOP, Layne didn't drink one thing containing alcohol in the entire month at the tables.

he made beer ice cubes and swallowed them, effectively "eating" alcohol, not drinking it.

As far as I know he's a recovering alcoholic, so I would hope not.
