You are a freak. Never sit at my table.
Edit: How likely do you think this scenario is? What is your river line? |

[/ QUOTE ] man lots of good info in this thread. it would be funny if you pushed the river representing the flush, him holding hte AcQx thinking you are on a pure bluff and calls you with it. |

Unfortunately, this is a tragedy and not a comedy that you are reading. But you have many of the elements correct. |

Bet the turn fo sho dawg. He'll fold a lot of the time. The times he doesn't fold, check the river and decide on a plan depending on the card and how much he bets.

This is so easy to move me off my hand if I bet the turn.... |

You are a freak. Never sit at my table. Edit: How likely do you think this scenario is? What is your river line? [/ QUOTE ] I don't have any hands at 2/4 yet so I am not sure. But based on reading posts I think that it is probably pretty slim against an average 2/4 player. That's why I think you can probably safely check/fold on this river and you probably can't check/call. I just had to ammend my original statement (where I said no worse hand bets the river) because I think there is some chance that villian could bluff the river. If he is any good he would probably need a key card (Ac) in order to bluff this scary board. A bad player that bluff's too much might not. I have no idea how likely someone would be to lay down a T on the river here so another alternative might be to try and get a laydown from a T as Amoeba suggested. I probably wouldn't have the confidence to do it so I probably still check/fold. At 5/10 and higher where it seems people love to catch bluffs you might be able to 2 way bluff this though and induce a big call by betting the river. FWIW, the lone A bluff is something that I have been having good success with in Omaha. It works pretty good because people are more likely to believe you have the nuts. I haven't experimented with it as much with it in hold'em yet. |

Bet $90 on the river, fold to a raise. [/ QUOTE ] I bet 90 on the river, he pushed, I folded, he showed AcJx. I think this is the worst possible line, FWIW. I think check/call is better and check/fold is better. This weak blocking bet is just asking for a raise on a really scary board that I don't want to call. But I'm not sure. I think it's a tough spot with awkward stack sizes. |
