that turn bet is NOT a good idea. if you figured him for a flush draw or a bluff, 3-bet the flop.

See, this is why I don't like the turn bet. When he checked, you could have got to showdwon for a max of 1 more BB. Now, it could could cost you 2 more BBs to get to showdown, although you probably should fold here. So instead of paying one BB on the river to see a showdown, you paid one BB on the turn to fold.

And I just don't buy the whole don't give him a free card argument. When you check behind on the turn, you're taking a free card just as much as you're giving him a free card.

At this point I think you've got to call. You're getting 9:1, and frankly the board is raggedy as [censored]. There's got to be something approaching a 10% chance that villain is bluffing, and the read and peace of mind you'll be getting from the showdown have to be worth something.

What type of hands would you think villain is bluffing with? Remember, we have no reads. When I get check raised twice, bluffing leaves my mind quickly.
