Stop playing the party 2k and Get the [censored] out of houston.

No offense to those from NO, but doesn't it seem strange that they get hit with the biggest storm in years, then tens of thousands of them head to Houston, and now the next storm is headed to Houston? If I was them I'd be wondering what I did to piss God off....Although I'm not a religious person, I know my namesake's story well enough to know that if God wants you underwater, he's gonna make it happen....

i lived half my life on the gulf coast near pensacola florida. i have been in several cat 4-5 hurricanes, if you have a house (not trailer) and you are significantly away from the water (500 yards or so) you really have nothing to worry about. given NO was a sub sea level city, they had stuff to worry about but its really just a bunch of wind. the news makes it out to be much more than it is. For those who have never experienced a hurricane its really not the hurricane you gotta worry about its the week or 2 of no power/AC/refrigerator goods that really sucks. although evacuating is not a dumb move either

And I was in Richmond Virginia 2 years ago when Isabel, a Category two storm made landfall. Richmond was 100 miles from the coast. That [censored] was scary as hell, we had 18 fatalities, and a tree fell on my friend's car, another tree fell on my other friend's house. We were 100 miles from the coast. Houston is 35, and this is a category 5. Get the [censored] out.
