I was merely pointing out a fact. Every year, there are one or two Pac Ten games where USC goes down to the wire against an inferior team (Stanford, UCLA, etc.)

[/ QUOTE ] I think that USC has a sense that this year, if they go undefeated and beat the majority of their opponents decisively, they can be remembered as one of the greatest teams ever. I'm thinking this might help prevent a "scary" game against an inferior pac-10 team.

USC actually had four close calls last year (UCLA, Cal, Stanford and Oregon St.).

As perfect as they look, I'm sure they'll be a few more this year.

They have a legit chance to be the most dominant team of the modern era, surpassing the 95 Huskers.

[/ QUOTE ]

The last time I heard this line was regarding Oklahoma 2 years ago, before they got slaughtered in their last 2 games. Just for the record.

They, too, had a legit chance. A legit chance isn't a guarantee.

The real question is if they could beat any of the NFL practice squads. That would be more interesting.

Let's see if they come out on top in the annual one or two Pac Ten games that they don't show up for.

[/ QUOTE ]

Like today, for instance.

USC could beat the Bears

BTW, don't even bother getting your hopes up.

[/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ]

They will, however, easily beat the piss out of every college team this year.
