I agree that being aggressive doesn't nessicarily mean your going to beat these games. My experince at $.50/$1 is that being aggressive, at least overly so, won't maximize your profits everytime. I have had slowdown and think about my lines on the times when I want to hit that raise button.

on absolute poker i play on average 4.21 handed and my vpip is 33.27/23.09

on party i play 5.04 handed and my vpip is 24/17

should 1 player make that much of a difference?

[/ QUOTE ]

Go to the position tab on pokertracker and track your VPIP across the sites based on position. Compare your button VPIP/PFR on Party and Absolute, then cutoff, etc. This will give you a little bit of a truer picture on the difference between your two playing styles across the two sites.

At 5/10 party I am at 24/15 over 60,000 with a 2.21 WR. I am fairly comfortable. Although, at 2/4 and 3/6(UB) I was playing at almost 29/19 and winning at a much higher rate close to 4bb/hr (small sample of 16,000). I am always looking for ways to get back to those higher numbers but cannot find any spots to do it. I would almost surely rather have my PFR a few points higher though and I do think I can find these spots. My ideal numbers would probably be something like 26/18. Does that sound about right? And what kind of W$SD percent are you guys at? Mine seems somewhat low at 53%. I think in Yaos book he claims this should be at high 50's.

After a small sample (20k) I'm at 25/16 and trying to find more spots to loosen up; I think I need to isolate more. I'm running at about 2.75 wr over these hands.

This is at 5/10 6m mainly, about 1k hands of 10/20 tossed in.

I play a 25/18 game. I feel like I'm constantly isolating loose players with A4 and K9 type hands, and stealing with total garbage. I really don't know how I'd get my VPIP up another 5 points. No intentions of doing so.

I'm like 22/15. It has achieved drastically different results at different levels.

i think we steal much lighter on the button/co, us with higher vpips. cause i don't think i play too many more hands out of position and my bb defense is lower than most.

I would have to agree. I steal on the button a ton (or at least try to) and if the button is tight, I will even raise in the CO to try to push him out and win the blinds as well. That doesn't happen very often, but I think my high VPIP comes from my steal attempts. My VPIP on the button is close to 50% and it is fairly high in the SB as well.

I think I really need to work on my blind defense as well as stealing tactics if I am going to run a VPIP this high. Im probably spewing right now in those two areas (at least I believe to be as my BB/100 is rather low) compared to other areas of my game.
