[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Pronounced like 'hinge' - it's a great word. [/ QUOTE ] I can't think of any reason I would ever consider this a great word. [/ QUOTE ] Try saying it out loud, with real feeling and gusto when you get to the hard 'g' sound. Elongate the 'nnnn' in the middle too to get a real good go at it. [/ QUOTE ] hinge is pronounce with a soft G, so you really aren't making any sense. |

Minge? Bollocks? I'm pretty sure the filter isn't set up to filter foreign languages so why are you bringing up all these British terms anyway?

[ QUOTE ]
hinge is pronounce with a soft G, so you really aren't making any sense. [/ QUOTE ] Really? What sort of 'g' is used in 'wing' then? I always thought a hard 'g' was in the words German, Germ, Giant etc, and the soft 'g' was in 'grape' or 'garter'. I meant whatever 'g' is the same as in 'German', whichever that is. If you said 'German Minge' you'd be using the 'g' the same way both times. |
