I am assuming that it is wireless internet or maybe he has the sprint service that connects over cell networks.

I think you are joking about the other two questions but just in case the thing behind his chair is the rake drop and the two buttons control the autoshuffler mounted in the table.

Might be freezing in the casinos (I didn't think so when I went to the Wynn), but it's scorching hot outside. Over 100's everyday.

One is the rake drop and the other is the automatic card shuffler.

Hi TT,

Where is he getting his internet connection from?

And what is that thing on the table by the back of his chair, and what is the thing in the middle of the table with the green and red buttons?

[/ QUOTE ]

Tom I know you are new to B&M play, so I'll fill you in.

The plate in the middle of the table is a Shufflemaster auto-shuffler. The dealer's setup consists of two decks, one in the Shufflemaster, one used to play with. After the hand is done, the dealer switches the decks. It adds enough hands per hour by saving time to pay for itself.

The little thing on the table by the back of his chair is where the rake from the table is "dropped". Its almost like a trap door, think of it that way.

As for the internet connection, the Wynn is a wireless hotel, the user has to pay a minimal fee per day.

Someone else asked about power.. he shares the power outlet with the shufflemaster.

i want to slightly hijack this thread and talk about one of the greatest things that ever happened to me at the Wynn.

marotti, jason_t, and I are playing 15-30. the game is horrible. we are all commenting on how horrible the game is.

Somehow Pokeredge gets mentioned. Seat 9 asks "what's poker edge" I say "or it's some little program that helped you with odds and stuff." he goes "is it anything like gametime plus?" so we obviously think he's a 2+2er.

except we never say anything to see if he is, i just ask him what he plays and he says he 8 tables. I figure he is and don't mention it anymore.

so the game goes on for like 15 minutes and seat 2 starts racking chips (doesn't bother me cuz he was pretty solid.) he's like a early 40's dude with a big texan accent.

so as he's rackin up marotti asks him "where you headed?" and he replies "going to mirage, you guys are tough."

there's about 5 seconds of silence, and then he just blurts out "SUP BRO!"

it takes like 3 seconds for it to trigger and marotti and I bust up laughing. jason_t and his nitty ways blurts out "what the f*ck!"

seat 9 asks me "is he a 2+2er?"

the end.

Best part of this story is that I am seated at the other, non TAGfest, $15/30 game at the Wynn making a killing.

Bunch of suckers.
