The impression I had was it was some type of festival if its not I dont understand why Metallica have done it cant be for the $.

I was kind of expecting Metallica to headline with Avril Lavigne opening.

Cliff Burton's death killed any integrity the band ever had. They held it together okay for ...And Justice, but it's been downhill fast since then.

And no, they have not had a good, original song since then. A couple tolerable ones ("Don't Tread on Me", "The Memory Remains"), but nothing worth shelling out $15 for.

They get slagged off for their post black stuff but I think some of the load/relaod stuff isnt as bad as people say and they have always kept up the great live stuff. At least they did try other stuff instead of doing the same album over and over like some other bands. I also think their next album is key after the trials of St Anger and getting it out of their system to see what direction they take.
