killing people in your dreams

I've killed some random people in dreams, oddly it's always been by impalement.

Not exactly on topic but, yesterday afternoon I had the sickening dream that I watched my 22-month-old daughter run straight at the handrail of the deck of one of those two-story outdoor minimalls. She hit, flipped right over, and disappeared. I listened for her to cry because I knew she'd be OK if she did, but there was only silence. I moved toward the rail, but just as she would have come into view, I woke up.

She is getting to the age where she does a lot of crap that could hurt her if we didn't watch her every freaking second.
The feeling of powerlessness was terrible. I hope I never have another one of those.
