Thanks for the post. Best response yet.

Only argument is towards Hellmuth in the WSOP. I'm almost positive the flop was AA4. I'll take a quick look and post the link when I find out.

And for the record, I wasn't responding to the posts becasue I didn't like their advice. It was more because most people just berated the post. But you're right, clear cut response. You can only fold if you're 100% sure he has AA, and that's nearly impossible to put someone on.

I'm not trying to be on your back at all. I solicited my advice. Maybe in a somewhat harsh tone, but I'm not trying to be rude.

Your poker logic is SEVERELY flawed. And I would highly suggest you go back and read Harrington on Hold'em, or really any major poker book, because I really don't think your completely understanding the concepts.

Phil Hellmuth is one of the best Hold'em players of all time. I don't think any one of us is going to win big trying to mimick big laydowns like he makes. For what it's worth, ALOT of major pros think his laydowns are super weak tight. That's his strategy. It works for him. But I can promise you with absolute certainty.

HU, in this situation, I don't see anyone, ever, laying KK down.

The only way I lay it down is if he flips his cards over. Period.

I believe the flop was A44. If he folds AK on an AA4 flop, he gets more delusional by the nano-second

Phil Hellmuth Dodges a Bullet

http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-tour...mp;screen=logs

Log: After a hand at the featured table, Phil Hellmuth jumped out of his chair and pointed at his wife in the stands.

"Honey! Honey! That was the hand! I should have gone broke on the hand!"

He then described how he had A-K, the flop came out A-A-4, and restated that he should have gone broke.

"Except you forgot one thing -- I can dodge bullets, baby. I knew he had a full house!"

Expect to see this hand (and the exchange with his wife) on ESPN.

Yeah, I saw that when it was broadcasted.. but I am pretty sure I read on another forum that they messed up the board, and it was A/4/4

I could easily be wrong... although it wouldn't be an isolated incident for cardplayer to get the details of a hand completely incorrect heh.

Oh, alright, didn't know that Card Player messed that up because I never saw them rectify it.

And I get the hint. Cant' fold KK pre flop. Let me make a different twist on the situation then. On any random situation, when do you feel it is the right move to lay down KK pre flop?

I'm assuming once again the answer is never, but just wondering what people think.

On the first hand of the WSOP, when you have KK in the big blind, and one by one the whole table goes all in before you.

Most good players fold AA here as well.

If your in a satellite, on the bubble...that pays like 10..and your in second position...and the chip leader goes all in in front of you...

Fold KK then. :-)
