If you are beating 2/4 on 4 tables, you should move up.

[/ QUOTE ]

The thing is, being able to make decent poker decisions quickly and split your attention is a significantly different skill than being able to make very good poker decisions. There are definitely players who can make far more playing (say) 1 10/20 table than 5 2/4 tables. The reverse is also true.

However, if the OP is in fact making 2+BB/100 at 2/4, regardless of number of tables, he could probably beat the 3/6. Therefore he would likely improve his winrate more by focussing on the game, moving up, then adding tables.

I agree that "multitabling skills" and "poker skills" are different. However, unless you improve your "poker skills", you will quite quickly approach your maximum win rate. Since the OP has demonstrated facility at "multitabling skills", it is important that he move up and develop the "poker skills" side of the house, if he wishes to improve his earn.

When you guys talk here about winrate is this for one table or do you guys mean true hourly winrate with multi tables?

My winrate didn't go down when adding tables. But I strongly suggest just moving to 3/6 if you have the bankroll and 4 tabling. Then once you have the bankroll and are confident enough...move to 5/10.

Sidenote: I suggest taking up 6max here.

Sure, no problem. Tomorrow I'll just play 100/200 instead and just make like 6 grand, easy. Nothing to it.

Be fair, Chief.

The only number I've seen here is BB/100.. 100 hands is 100 hands, whether you play them at 1 table or 4 or 8.. So it's your winnings per 100 hands.

how about you move up so you can get closer to the goal of making 3400 a day rather than a month.

My brother doesn't always say things in the best way, but I think he's genuinely trying to motivate people to move up and be confident in their abilities. Some of the players on this forum are very good and could hold their own at a higher limit. I understand that some are playing for a living and this is their only source of income, so they can't take shots, but don't take what he's saying the wrong way, he means well.

For what it's worth, I think moving up in levels is better than adding tables.

I didn't realize you two were brothers.

I just thought "why not make $3500/day" was a pretty stupid statement is all. Obviously it's not that easy.

That's why I tried to give you some context with my last post because I thought it might come off like that.
