Close, but not quite as touching

cancer survival > war injuries (at least in the early 21st century)

[/ QUOTE ]

he said it in less words than me.

i don't mean to demean rocky intentionally, but lance's comeback was from "deathbed" to dominating a sport, whereas rocky almost died but came back to "just" get on an NFL team. Which sounds retarded, when you factor his situation and the difficulty required to make an NFL team. Still, he didn't come back with the magnitude Lance did.

Millions turns out to do this, I have never seen millions of non-Americans show up to cheer Tiger Woods or Pete Sampras.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not many of the cheerers were Americans. Millions turns out to do this, I have never seen millions of non-Americans show up to cheer Tiger Woods or Pete Sampras.

in one of the dumbest discussion threads in a while.

honestly, these questions are really, really stupid. you cant compare people from different sports and eras, theres just no way to say "oh roger clemens is better than wayne gretzy but not as good as jordan", it just doesnt work.

If you dislike the thread enough to keep at this, [censored] off and go find some other Yankees/Bosox discussion. It's that simple, really.

you poke in not once, but twice to say the thread is dumb. if that's all you can contribute, than don't even bring it to the table. you don't see me coming into your stupid Yankee threads , do you?

Can't really say - for me or most people since very little is known about cross country cycling - or whatever the sport is called.

Default What is a sport?

According to the great George Carlin, "baseball, football and basketball are the only three sports".
