I think a user should need to have 100 posts before he can start a topic.

This actually seems like a decent idea to me. Are there any drawbacks?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, please like Barryg1 and Paul Phillips can't post because they don't have 100 posts? No thank you.

that's a great idea.

thinking back to when i was new, i cant see how it would have hurt my game. now it would just eliminate posts like this and clear the zoo of the "empire stole my money" posts.

And as the Poker craze rises, we may even see a WSOP event with 50000 players

[/ QUOTE ]

Uh, no. The logistics of such a thing would be impossible.

I disagree. People are going to make inane posts, and replies regardless of how many posts they have. And, prize idiots like our "friend" Canuck here would just hijack every thread on the board, infecting them with their mindless drivel. At the same time, there are going to be plenty of poker players that have genuine, good questions that are going to be new to the board. Some of these would be beginning players. Your suggestion would have these beginners giving others advice, or trolling themselves in order to get their post count up. (in order to get an answer to what they wanted to start a post on in the first place) At any rate, something should be done to keep these oxygen thieves from posting (and making new accounts to post yet more after they are banned.)

I found this post looking up Canucks' posting history, and stumbled into a whole thread full of people like me!
I hate having to read posts like this, but I do like shutting down the posters.

I completly agree.

To the OP: STFU. It's tournament poker, not a cash game, go play a cashgame if you don't want that. It's not like the WSOP replaced cash games in casinos...
