For me:

Thinking too much about the bet you are calling NOW, and not enough about the one(s) you are likely to face on the next street(s) and not considering all factors.

I've done it a couple times in recent sessions, and I kick myself later.

Example, I get into a flop in the BB with suited rags.

P1 and P2 are both pretty tight and solid players, P1 has been trying to get AI and double up or go home for at least 90 mins as a low stack.

Flop comes: Qxx all my suit, I have a draw to an inside straight flush.

We all check, another rag appears, different suit.

Player 1 (SB) goes AI for $40, I am next to act and call, Player 2 after me raises $75, I took a minute and stupidly call, and he pushes me all in on the river, which pairs the board and I fold. [board pairing made this an easier fold, I am lucky there.]

Turns out Player 1 had the nut flush, player 2 had 4th nut flush, and I was in 3rd with my crappy flush. All 3 of us slyly checked the flop, pretty hilarious!

Oh yeah another BIG LEAK: PLAYING TIRED (also came into the ^hand for me as well), I left soon after, I was up after a horrible beat earlier that session, if I hadn't have made those calls.

For me...

- tilt. I'm handling it better, but it's still tough to take when you're rivered by a 3-outer or runner-runner. Losing with AA against ATs (getting all in preflop) is another favorite.

- "I knew I was beat, but I'll called anyway."

Just going through some of the responses to my question:

WEAK READING ABILITY
CALLING WITH MARGINAL HANDS
OVERPLAYING OVERCARDS, TOP PAIR, OVER PAIRS
CHASING DRAWS WITHOUT GOOD IMPLIED ODDS
TILT
CALLING TOO MUCH - WHEN YOU SHOULD RAISE OR FOLD
NOT INTEGRATING YOUR GAME
UNDERSTANDING VARIANCE AND BANKROLL MANAGEMENT
CALLING RAISES WITH PAIRS
CALLING CHECK-MINRAISES WITH ONE PAIR

Interesting list. I suffer from all of these to varying degrees. My own observation, though probably a bit simplistic, is that the biggest leak in most players games would be underbetting their good hands. I'd guess that in way more than half the 'newbie' hand history posts the responses will invariably suggest "betting more" at some point in the hand.

Very good point.

Some time ago it was pointed out to me that cold-calling pre-flop with KQo is a BIG leak.
I tried a small experiment with my PT stats.
I compared the hands that I limped in or I was the raiser to those that I cold-called.
The poster was 100% right.

I'm sure there are many more examples of this but this is the one that has saved me a lot of money.
