after flopping the ace, the play was to check-raise all-in.

the pot was plenty big enough.

of course if you elect to call which i doubt you would then i get 5 outed... but i think i pick up that pot there and am right back in the thick of things...

i got greedy and was aiming to double.. BAD BAD play in an other wise well played tourney on my part...

i'm so terrible inside 5 handed play until it gets to heads up, where i am competant

You really should come over the top preflop with your AK.

Well, at least I didn't waste a lot of time losing tonight. My KK in the sb loses to AA in the bb. Then my AA makes a flush on the turn, which happens to be the 8 of hearts. River is another 8. Myrtle had the other two 8s. Whee. On the plus side, a $31 buy-in is a lot less unpleasant to lose that way than, say 10 grand would be, so I'll just have to view it as me coming out ahead $9969 by not playing the WSOP main event

yup...wasn't that the burn of the century......what a weird hand!

You had me all set up for the plucking, and I end up not only sucking out on your AA, but hitting runner-runner 8's for quads.

This game can be extremely cruel sometimes........

My condolences for the uber-bad-beat.......

Default KotZ Updated Standings

I've posted an update on the KotZ website for the current top ten. These are still unofficial results. I still have a lot of work to do in my data recovery as I'm still putting the data together. A lot of you still need to reply to the email I sent to the distribution list requesting your 2+2 and Stars Id. I have enough info for a top ten, since most of these names I know from our core group of players.

Thanks for the update (and all the work), Ed. I am surprised I am still listed as I high as I am considering the donktastic play I have exhibited recently

wheeee. Despite some horrible outings!

You guys are all in trouble, especially considering that there is still a stud/8 tourney left.

Note: Anyone know how to play stud/8?

Nick

This is next? I won this last year. I guess I will have to go and defend my title......
