Re: 10-20 NL hand PP
I hate AJ against a raise. I would lean towards folding preflop. It's an impossible hand against a raise OOP.
I would raise the turn though, or at least the river. |

Re: 10-20 NL hand PP
I think check raising is worse than folding on the flop.

Re: 10-20 NL hand PP
best options in this hand:
fold preflop fold flop OR lead and fold to a raise raise turn all in river basic as 1+1=2 |

Re: 10-20 NL hand PP
I don't like any of the preflop play in this hand.

so what? you suggest waiting for him to bet you off the hand or cross your fingers and hope that a-j is good. you know kk,qq is liable to fire twice right. folding a-j suited to a mini-raise is weak. |

Re: 10-20 NL hand PP
Hi padirk,
Here's my line: Call pre-flop every time, getting over 3 to 1. Check-raise the drawless flop to 500, and begone if he reraises or calls and you don't improve. It's cheaper than check-call, check-call, check-fold (when you don't spike a Jack). Check-raise to 1000 when you make top 2, and call any size reraise. Put the rest of your chips in on the river, if you have any. You may consider check-calling if an Ace or Q falls on the river, since he may check behind you with bigger Aces up, fearing a set (he'll never fold that, obviously). |
