this sucks. all it does is take broadcast and coverage away from hoops, a sport which is actually enjoyable and where you can actually see the action.

Yeah, stoping play when someone breathes on another player, allowing players to shoot many uncontested shots (i.e free throws), and scoring so common that it is common for there to be more than 100 scores in a game. NBA sucks.

If you really wanted to make basketball more exciting, make it more like hocky. Have powerplays, and delayed calls. Eliminate free throws.

find a way to make the end of the games fast.

i dont know anything about basketball, but i love to watch close games from the start of the 4th quarter to about 2-3 minutes to go, then it slows down and is awful.

yea, cuz stopping play every 30 seconds when the puck goes out of bounds, icing, offsides, goalie stoppage etc is soooooo much better.

You have obviously never watched a hockey game in your entire life.

I thought Poker was the new hockey

[/ QUOTE ]

It pretty much is. I have not seen so many home games spawn up, the casino poker rooms filled up as much since the strike started.

Why should sports be anything different than anything else in life? Appealing to the lowest common denominator is a proven recipe for success.

Damn I hate basketball. But at least I am knowledgeable of the game, while you have clearly never watched or played a game of hockey in your life.
