then (and this is a stretch), no gamesmanship after the call/all-in hand.

"What'd you have, Hasan?"

"Sixes and threes."

"Wow..."

This is actually not that much of a stretch. In fact, I didn't think of it at the time, but how often is that exchange going to take place between two cutthroat competitors? How about between two competitors?

How about never?

Is it just me or did Hasan give a little bit too many awkward male hugs to Tuan Lee?? and Hasan going all in with q6 that looked like such an obvious chip dump to Tuan.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not pushing w/Q6 in that spot would have been a more obvious chip dump.

Besides the fact that Q6 is a clear push when you opponent has only 5BBs in his stack. Tuan still has to find a hand, call and have it hold up.

If Hasan had raised then folded later in the hand it would be pretty bad.

I really wouldn't doubt things like this happen. I mean I was playing in a tourney a couple of days ago where I was the only new guy at the final table, none the less I think I was out numbered and could have been partered up against. The next thing I can do is bring someone else in and have him and i do well and one of us dump and the other takes down the tourney and we split it. simple concept, but to get to that spot takes skill.

Meanwhile, I have never really disliked a poker player, but I don't like Tuan. He got lucky plenty at Foxwoods, and he criticizes Paul saying he had "sucked out all week." I think he played far recklessly this episode but nontheless, his constant "jeez" comments get under my skin. What a tool.

[/ QUOTE ]

Indeed. My memory may be a bit fuzzy on this, but didn't he suckout exactly the same way in both events? Namely, hitting a gutshot at the final table with a seven on the river?

As others have mentioned, the 63 hand and the "we did it" are far worse than folding the KJs, altough all three look very very bad.

really obvious? is it because q-8 has absolutely no chance against k-j?

Honestly, I think that when it came down to the 3 that were at the table, they saw it as them 2 and 1 "amateur". While hasan had a big chip stack he must have figured that Tuan was pushing with Ax. Also, he may have shown to get the amateur to think he was folding moderatly strong hands to an all in (the amateur was his SB) - and induce the amateur to bluff. Or something to that effect.

I don't think they were doing anything intentionally dishonest.

KJs against Ax is very EV+ with those pot odds. Plus, why wouldn't he want to knock out Le and be heads up with the amateur? Why would he want to encourage Maxwell (or Le) to push at his blind? If he is going to fold KJs, you can pretty much steal from him at will.
